Ceasefire Breaches in Gaza Lead to New Fatalities
Medical staff at Al-Nasser Medical Complex reported that the casualty succumbed to Israeli fire in the town of Bani Suhaila, located east of Khan Younis, within the area controlled by Israel and designated as the yellow zone.
Witnesses told a news agency that Israeli naval vessels also bombarded the coast of Rafah from the sea, while artillery fire simultaneously struck eastern Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Israeli army demolished several residential buildings in the Shujaiya district of Gaza City, marking another violation of the ceasefire agreement.
In southern Gaza, residents said Israeli artillery targeted eastern parts of Khan Younis beyond the yellow line.
On Monday evening, two Palestinians were killed and several others injured inside a home in the Al-Nasr district of Gaza City when an Israeli ordnance detonated.
Riyad Mansour, Palestine’s ambassador to the UN, informed the Security Council on Monday that Israeli forces have been killing two children daily in Gaza since the ceasefire was implemented on Oct. 10.
He added that over 1,000 Palestinians have been killed or wounded by Israeli forces in Gaza since last month.
The Health Ministry in Gaza reported that at least 342 Palestinians have died and nearly 900 others sustained injuries due to Israeli army fire since the ceasefire took effect.
