According to a separate readout from the Kremlin, Putin briefed Erdogan on the outcomes of his meeting with Trump in Anchorage. The discussion also touched on the current state of the war in Ukraine, with the Russian side expressing appreciation for Türkiye’s role in facilitating previous negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian officials in Istanbul.
In addition to geopolitical concerns, both leaders reviewed bilateral priorities, including efforts to boost trade and investment. The call concluded with a mutual agreement to maintain regular direct communication going forward.
